Who we are

What we use

We group cookies into two kinds. Essential ones keep the site working. Analytics ones help us understand how the site is used, and they only run if you press Accept analytics.

Essential

These do not need extra consent because the site would not remember your choices without them. They last up to six months, or until you clear your browser data.

  • kc-cookie-consent — remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies.
  • kc-theme — remembers dark or light theme. Stored in local storage, not as a cookie.
  • kc-motion — remembers if you paused motion on the home page. Local storage.
  • kc-ann-dismissed — remembers if you closed the announcement bar. Local storage.

Analytics

If you accept, Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-HNV6N54ZC7) and Google Tag Manager (container GTM-WBX8CD3N) are allowed to set analytics cookies so we can see which pages are visited, how people find the site, and which parts are useful.

If you choose Essential only, those analytics cookies are blocked. The Google tags still load in a denied-consent state so a later “accept” can take effect without a full page rebuild, but they must not set analytics or advertising cookies until you agree.

Google’s own cookies, when allowed, are typically first-party cookies on this domain or cookies set by googletagmanager.com / google-analytics.com. Their lifetime is set by Google, often up to two years.

How to choose

The first time you visit, a banner asks you to accept analytics or keep essential cookies only. Both choices are equally available. We store that choice for 180 days, then ask again.
